This is my Final stuff :) Merry Christmas!

Final Project

Objects that i will bring in on Monday are things like my build a bear penguin, my guitar, my bible, my dog's collar, guitar picks, some cds or ear buds or something, and just random things. You'll see in the video! :)

QHow do I present myself to the world?

A: I present myself as being different. I'm not really normal. I don't follow trends. I don't really care about what's popular. I'm just who I am and if people don't like it there's nothing they can really do.

Q: How do I communicate my understanding?

A: I communicate my understanding by talking to people and telling them how I feel. I'm not judgemental so if people really know me, they'll know they can talk to me without us getting in a fight or something like that.

Becci Mason (Re)touching peoples lives

What Mrs. Mason did was absolutely incredible. I know if something like this happened to me, I would want to grab my pictures before almost anything. So many memories are kept inside photos so loosing them hurts incredibly bad. When my mom was 16 her house burned to the ground while they were away and everything they had was lost. I know she would do anything to get those pictures back.

Why did Becci Mansion start this project?

Becci id this because she found a way to use her forte to help people in need. There was already tons of rescue efforts helping so she thought she could do something a little outside the box. 

How did she organize people to help with the cause?

She organized people to help her by reaching out on LinkedIn and facebook, asking them to let her send them pictures to edit and eventually there were thousands of people who wanted to help!

How can you use your photo skills to help people you know?

My photo skills are pretty limited but I can take picture for something if someone can't afford a photographer or something like that for free and that may help them out :)

What visually makes you who you are?

• Visually, I am a happy person. I am really good at always being pretty bright and looking at the positive side of things. When someone looks at me they might think I'm different because I don't really let things bring me down. 

What is the importance of appearance?

• I really don't think there is much importance in appearance. It's what's on the inside that counts!

What objects have you chosen to bring in that represent you?

• I have chosen my letterman jacket, nerd glasses, JWU measuring cup, magic cards, my dog's collar, my phone, a King of Hearts, my boyfriend's name tag, my pop tab bracelet, penguin, monkey, my bible, guitar picks, and bronco jersey. 

How are each of these objects significant/symbolic of part of your identity?

• Jacket- I take school very seriously. I love Sand Creek and I love this jacket!

Glasses- I am kind of nerdy and so I put those in there to represent that :)

JWU Cup- I really want to go to Johnson and Wales University to be a chef

Magic Cards- I love playing magic and it also represents my brother because I play with him.

Collar- My dog, Oscar, is my baby! I love him sooo much :)

Phone- I don't go anywhere without my phone. It is my main form of communication and everyone in my family knows of they need to talk to someone to just call me because I'll always answer:)

Card- My boyfriends last name is King. King of hearts. Yeahh.. xP Represents him

penguin- Well a penguin is my favorite animal and I've also been told I walk like a penguin. I loooove penguins!!! :)
monkey- This represents by baby brother. When my mom was prego she called him her monkey so his nursery is all monkeys so when I think of monkeys I think of him! There is also a button on his ear that says I <3 Babies because I do :)
bible- I am very religious. I'm strong in my faith and God is a huge part of my life. Also there is a scripture highlighted which is Hebrews 11:1 which is my favorite scripture.
guitar picks- I love playing guitar. I also love music so i chose these to represent that.
bronco jersey- I am a big Broncos fan! It also reminds me of all the times I've spent with my daddy watching Bronco games <3

How have you chosen to arrange/light/photograph these objects? Why?

• Let's see, I arranged this is a way I thought was compact but just spread out and messy enough so represent me. i'm very organized but I'm also just crazy messy sometimes. I chose more of a dark light so really make the viewer look and examine each object rather then just looking at it in normal light or having it over exposed so it's just a big blob of light!

Is there significance to the fabric that you brought in? If so, what is the significance of the fabric?

• Yes there is, my back ground is my letterman's jacket and I explained earlier how that's important to me because I love this school, and it has my Graduation year on it! '14! It also says 'Academic' which is what I lettered in and my grades are important to me. The jersey is on the bottom and I already explained how I am a fan and it represents times with me and my dad. :)

HDR Landscape Experiment!

We used HDR with a landscape today. I think it went pretty well!

We have been practicing HDR photography in class. It's when you take pictures at different exposures and then merge them together to get a ultra-realistic image.
